Cristina DeFilippis

I am a 2023 graduate of Miami University with my Bachelors in Integrated English Education. I began tutoring for high school level English courses and essay writing as a peer tutor when I was in high school myself and now have over 7 years of experience working with children ranging in age from kindergarten to 12th grade. Along with my studies in college, I continued to pursue tutoring as a passion and a way to help others to appreciate and improve in a subject that I personally love. I worked one on one with high school students for additional support in a variety of English courses and college essay writing at the high school where I student taught . I also worked as a volunteer English tutor for Ukrainian Refugee students to help English Language Learners reach proficiency in conversational English. I truly enjoy working with students and have found so much joy in helping students reach their potential. I would be more than happy to work closely with parents of my students to incorporate any goals they may have for their children and share our progress. I take an enthusiastic and researched backed approach to my students learning that translates to the student’s improvement and accomplishments. Reading and writing are two things that I have a great love for and I would love to share my passion with my students and help them to accomplish their goals in this area!
