Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a babysitter for the past six and a half years being with kids of all ages. In addition I was also a camp counselor for 5 years at a girl scout camp. More recently I teach swim lessons for kids of a wide rariety of ages.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am going to be $15-20 an hour depending on the subject and the amount of children in the session.
How did you get started teaching?
What types of students have you worked with?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should be as honest as they can, pinpointing specific areas of assistance so that way the session can be formulated in the best way possible. They should think about asking for a pace that suits them. Being able to learn at your own pace is huge and the kids shouldn't be afarid to go slower or faster. Also, parents should advise the tutor on where they see the child needing assistance especially for the younger children.
