What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First we will start with an assessment of your current knowledge then we will talk about your academic goals from there we will figure out a study plan that best works with your needs and capabilities.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago I tutored all through college.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Prices vary depending on what the subject is. Low prices for first time clients.
How did you get started teaching?
When I was studying in college I frequently got asked for help by my peers and decided I had a service people had the need for.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students from students with disabilities to children and even med school prospects.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My wife and I just had a baby a couple months ago and I am beyond happy to say that was the best experience of my life. Seeing my son for the first time was so different than anything I’ve ever experienced in my life.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Altas meet the instructor before committing to a number of sessions. You want to feel comfortable with your instructor to make the studying so much easier.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask what study plan best suits your learning needs. Are you an uditory learner, are you a visual learner? What subjects are you successful at and why? Why do you need help with studying or learning a subject? These are all things one should ask himself before talking to a teacher about their needs.
