Michael Stanley

Hi, I'm Michael Stanley. A senior computer engineering student at UIC.

Exiting high school, I knew almost no mathematics, having failed algebra two. By the age of 20 I had taught myself calculus 1-3, designed and built a simple computer, and entered college as a computer engineering student. Currently, I am maintaining a perfect GPA at UIC.

In working with me, I aim to use my experience and technical ability to help you radically improve your grades and understanding of complex mathematical and scientific concepts, just as I did. Particularly, I want to teach you the techniques and studying habits that facilitate academic success.

The following is a list of the subjects that I tutor, ranging from basic math, physics, and electrical/computer engineering courses.

Math subjects:

-Algebra/college algebra

-Calculus 1-3

-Ordinary differential equations

-Applied linear algebra (UIC MATH 310)

Science subjects:

-Physics 1 (introductory mechanics)

-Physics 2 (introductory electricity and magnetism)

-Introductory thermodynamics (UIC PHYS 260)

Engineering subjects:

-Circuit analysis (UIC ECE 115 or 225)

-Intro to digital circuit design (UIC ECE 265)

-Intro to embedded systems (UIC ECE 266)

-Signals and systems (UIC ECE 310)

-Electronics I (dealing with op-amps/basic semiconductors) (UIC ECE 340)
