I will make sure that my students understand each and every concept that they are stuck on before we move on. I am a firm believer that anyone can become great at math; it is only a question of practice and deep-level of understanding. I will go out of my way to prepare materials including practice sheets and concept review study guides so that my students can understand everything in a crystal clear manner.
I really enjoy interacting with students and sharing my experiences of how I struggled in a given subject area just like them at one point. It allows the student to realize that he/she is not alone in this struggle, rather everyone goes through it and conquers it. I enjoy helping people knowing that I am adding to their knowledge base that they will cherish for the rest of their careers.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Firstly, I will provide the student with a pre-quiz so that I can gain better insight regarding the student's level. I believe that it is extremely important to have an understanding between the student and myself. Therefore, I will take time to get to know the student as well as provide information about myself. Then, I will create tentative plans and goals for each week depending on how frequently the student takes lessons. The plan will be flexible and can be adapted based on the student's progress.
