About
I am a twenty-one year veteran teacher. I have experience teaching grades K-8 with an emphasis on English Language Arts, History, and ESL services. I currently teach 6th grade Social Studies. I have two master's degrees in education and have found my experiences tutoring through my school district to be extremely positive and rewarding. I am looking to expand my private tutoring as soon as possible.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by getting to know my students, their likes and dislikes about school, in order to determine how best to meet their needs. I also study their current and future curriculum so that I can provide the most useful tutoring possible. Additionally, I prefer to challenge students to develop critical thinking skills in order to build their creative thinking and learning stamina.
