Early Childhood, Elementary And Beyond Tutoring

I am a warm, patient, experienced teacher. I have taught everything individually from math and reading to art and music (I am available for private ukulele lessons). I have 5 years of teaching experience across multiple areas of curriculum with a strong literary background. I have a degree in early childhood/elementary ed, a degree in child, adult, and family services, and an endorsement in special education. I have taught mixed ages at a Montessori school, but have mostly taught Kindergarten mixed gen ed/special ed in Cicero. This whole year I have been teaching fully in person in 3rd grade at a college prep elementary/middle school (with a Montessori-based preK) called Kingswood Academy in Darien. With my varied experiences, flexible schedule, and competitive rates, I am the perfect tutor for a child of any disposition.

I am a passionate educator who loves to help students grow and excel in academics, character, and virtue. I foster independence and teach children to take pride in their own work while building a strong sense of self, recognizing their strengths and areas of growth, and cater to each unique style of learning.
