About

As someone who is extremely involved with education, it brings me no greater joy then to see individuals succeeding at their goals. I have always been invovled with tutoring, even back when I was a high school student. However, I officially started tutoring after I finished my undergraduate at University of Illinois at Chicago. Before pursuing my Masters in Biomedical Sciences and Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine, I started to tutor local kids around the community, who needed help with various school needs. I recived great feedback and have continued ever since.

I've always had a passion for the sciences, specifically the human body, and that is why I'm studying to become a physician. I am in my last year of medical school and will hopefully start my residency this upcoming July. Although my expertise are in the sciences, I am still very involved in other subjects such as: history, math, english, etc. I have tutored students from middle school all the way to graduate levels. Whether it'd be a specific topic, class, standerized test prep I have sufficient experience in all those areas. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions!

Frequently asked questions

The inital consulation is very important, becuase I like to find out how the students best learn. Some students are visual learners, while others are more practical. Each student is different in its own way, so I like to determine what is the best way each student learns. From there, I like to focus in on the strengths and weaknesses of students and develop a plan of how future sessions will go. It is important to realize that this is fluid and it usually changes throughout sessions according to the students needs.

Outside of my educational degrees, I have mostly tutored local kids around my community. I have also tutored graduate students at my medical school.

The major price differences are whether its for class or standerized testing. If prepping for standarized tests such as the ACT, SAT, MCAT the pricing tends to be a bit higher, just because it has more in-depth requirements.

I actually started tutoring in high school as part of National Honor Society (NHS) club. As a high school student, I would tutor mostly 3rd-5th grade students after school. I enjoyed it very much and have continued as I have progressed throughout my educational career.

Have worked with middle school students, high school students and even graduate level students.

The biggest advice is to find a teacher/tutor who is conducive to your learning style. Every student learns differently and it is best to have a teacher that can accomodate your needs. Additionally, it is very important to be paired up with who is well structured and is able to set goals for you as you progress throughout your study sessions.

Everything and anything! Students should be able to ask any questions they desire in full confidence. Some of the important ones to ask are the experience of the tutor and the learning style they imploy to the sessions.
