About
My name is Vicki Thompson, and I have been teaching Spanish for ten years. I have taught Spanish to children from the 3rd grade through High School Spanish 3 and have tutored college students as well. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Spanish and a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology. I spent the last year of my undergraduate studies at The Universidad de Sevilla, in Seville, Spain. This year solidified my love of the Spanish language.
In 2010 I left my counseling practice to return home to homeschool my three children, who at the time were 11, 9, and 7. At that time, I was asked at our Local homeschool group if I would teach Spanish, and I have been teaching ever since.
I am excited to help students learn to express themselves in a brand new language. Being bilingual has shown to improve problems solving and decision-making. It can give children an academic advantage and increases their cultural awareness. Being bilingual makes us better global citizens.
