I have always loved to read and would envision myself as if I was taking part in the story itself .As a child growing up,I would rather read a book than watch television. As a professional teacher for over fifteen years I pride myself and teaching through innovative techniques.
It's fulfilling and gives me much happiness to see a student grow in improving their love and ability to understand the phonics concepts . Writing is as integral part of learning to read is reading Being able to express oneself with confidence and flair, and communicating their thoughts is what makes one successful in school and life .

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first class is a preview class as I use a variety of different teaching elements to discover his learning style .I offer the first class as a freebie .Getting to know a students strengths and where they can improve is the key to a child’s development .I use a variety of materials such a paint chalk ,play -doh to assist in visualizing the formation of the lettersThen being able to write then. Older children love games like scrabble to enhance their ability to understand word combinations.
