About
I have been tutoring with Loyola University Chicago since January 2022 but I'm trying out tutoring outside of LUC for the summer! I can tutor organic chemistry, cell biology, genetics, computer science, philosophy, spanish, theology, english and neuroscience courses.
I love helping students gain greater confidence in their own academic abilities through a course. I previously struggled in a lot of the courses I am able to tutor now, and it feels fulfilling to make sure someone else doesn't feel the same way that I did in the past.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to meet to discuss goals for the course, any previous experiences with the subject, and any particular concerns or questions they have in terms of material or approach. I also like to share my own experiences with the courses as well from the first day. After the first meeting, it's important to set smaller goals for each meeting, like what chapters we will review next time, and what they will do to prepare for the next meeting!
How did you get started teaching?
I was recommended to be a tutor at Loyola by a faculty member in the Chemistry department!
What types of students have you worked with?
I worked with Achieving College Excellence, a TRiO Student Support Services Program funded by a five-year grant from the Office of the Provost and the U.S. Department of Education. This program serves first generation, high financial need students, and students who have documented disabilities.
