About
Welcome to my tutoring profile! I'm Annette Gutierrez, an experienced educator with a strong background in content creation, editing, proofreading, language, and literacy support. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master's in Education from Lewis University, focusing on Curriculum and Instruction Writing and English Language Learning. My career includes working in the UIC Writing Center, where I enhanced a wide range of writing from lab experiments to dissertations.
My international teaching experience in Seville, Spain, provided me with invaluable insights into effective teaching methodologies and cultural awareness. In the United States, I have taught middle school English Language Arts and Spanish for over a decade, utilizing my trilingual skills in English, Polish, and Spanish to communicate effectively with diverse student populations. I have also organized curricula, such as the Scope and Sequence for 6th-grade English Language Arts and a Transitional Spanish class for 7th and 8th graders.
I am dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive. Whether you need help with writing, reading, or language learning, I am here to guide you every step of the way.
