About
¡Hola a todos! Soy Richard. I am a Spanish Tutor/ Translator who is seeking private students or translation work. I have been fluent in Spanish for over ten years and I am excited about sharing my skills within the community. I would love to work with any learners (beginners-intermediate) who are interested in growing their fluency, both written and spoken. I have a BA in Spanish from North Park University and have been working as a translator since 2007. During my degree program, I lived in Morelia Michoacán, México where I had the privilege to be welcomed into a community and learn the vernacular. In addition to translating, I also teach private voice and piano, so I am extremely comfortable working one-on-one with students. ¡Aprovéchese de una experiencia memorable de aprendizaje conmigo ya!
I love seeing my students have a "lightbulb moment" during a session when they get excited about a new discovery in their learning. Seeing their smiles, enthusiasm and desire for continued growth in their learning make my work very rewarding. Making a lasting, memorable impact in my students' lives and their learning journey is by far one of my proudest moments of being an instructor.

I am a piano instructor and recently held a virtual student recital featuring a graduating senior who performed three complete classical piano pieces. It was one of my proudest moments as a teacher, especially when my students were unable to perform in person due to the pandemic.
