I have a bachelors degree from UIUC in molecular and cellular biology and a masters degree in Bioengineer. Usually around $25-30 an hour depending on the subject

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Hire someone that is open to changing their method of teaching. Not everyone learns the same way, so it'd be a mistake to use the same teaching strategy for each student!
