Experience, experience and more experience! Throughout my 20 plus years teaching, I have taught 1st-5th grades. In addition, I have had the amazing opportunity to work with a diverse group of students. I have worked with students with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, ELL, gifted and everything in between. During my three years tutoring, I have worked with some wonderful children. I am a dedicated to finding ways to use your child's interests and learning styles to help them grow. I have a wealth of resource at my fingertips to help create lessons that will meet the needs of your child. Whether you are looking for a tutor to help your child work on general improvement, or big gaps in reading, writing and/or math. I am the tutor for you!

I love working with children. My favorite part is seeing the smile on their face when they understand something new and/or accomplish something. I enjoy creating lessons that will help the child learn and have fun at the same time.

Ms. Angela has been an absolute joy to work with. My son has several learning disabilities and she did not shy away from the challenge. She has greatly improved his reading and language skills. She is well organized, provides a thoughtful curriculum, and has numerous teaching aids/activities with her. She is a remarkable teacher. She cares deeply about making sure our child succeeds. Our son also looks forward to her visits, which is important, as she is easy going and fun which our child likes. She builds a good report directly with him which we believe is the best learning environment.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First, I will ask their parents about their child and their needs. Next, I will get to know the child. Find out what the child's interests are and what they do for fun. Then, I will do an informal assessment to see the child's strengths and weaknesses. Finally, I will create lesson plans that incorporate the child's interests and meet the needs of the student.
