Olive Queen Majestic

Hello! I am about to graduate from DePaul University in Chicago, IL with two degrees in Theatre Studies/Dramaturgy & Literary Studies/Creative Writing! I will be beginning my Master’s program at Emerson College in Literature/Poetry in the fall. I have been a teaching assistant/peer mentor at my university for three years, and I have helped students with writing/editing essays/strengthening components of a strong essay. I have also been a private tutor for two years and I am happy to help in the same as mentioned, as well reading comprehension, homework help, larger projects, and more. I am graduating summa cum laude and value academics greatly.

As for my vocal background, I have been singing my entire life. I have been studying music theory for 9 years, I have been in choir/a capella/musical theatre also for 9 years, and I have experience music directing and arranging/transposing music.

I want to meet every student where they are at and tailor my approach to fit each and every individual. I understand that the same approach may not even work every single lesson—I am willing to work with all my students to continue to discover what feels comfortable and what helps them learn. I want to foster curiosity and joy in learning, whether in literature or singing alike—I want to make lessons enjoyable and to teach things that will be useful for students further down the road.
