About
I enjoy helping people to learn as I find learning to be a joyful endeavor. If you don't, I want to turn that around for you! But I also enjoy questions, no matter how simple and no matter the age of the person asking, because they reinforce and sometimes improve my understanding of the topic. Richard Feynman, one of the greatest physicists of the 20th century and a popular teacher at Cal Tech pointed out that a teacher's inability to give a simple answer to ANY question indicates that the teacher lacks a full understanding of the topic, never mind the student! And he said this in response to a poor explanation given by an adult to a 1st grader.** I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you and being challenged by you.
**Richard's son, Carl, shared this with me a long time ago when we worked together at MIT in the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
