Sally Noble, PhD

I offer high-level tutoring and editing for native English speakers and English Language Learners. I have experience in higher education, and have been teaching ESL/ELL for the past six years. I am very good at explaining complex grammar in concise and clear ways, and in helping students edit their work for clarity. I have lived abroad, and have extensive experience working with international students and professionals.

I hold a PhD in Humanities, with a focus on cultural and language studies.

I am certified in TESOL by the School for International Training.

I began teaching and tutoring students in a community college setting and privately, after working in higher education administration for more than twenty years.

I can easily adapt the focus of my tutoring to fit the client's needs.

I primarily work with adults who have recently immgrated to to the USA. I have lived abroad, completed a degree in international area studies, and have worked with international students in a variety of capacities throughout my career. In general, I find the students/clients to be highly motivated and fun to teach.
