STEM Tutoring For Middle And High School, College
About
I am a current school administrator with extensive experience tutoring in math, science, and Spanish for grades 6-12 as well as the collegiate level. I hold an undergraduate degree in cellular and molecular biology and Spanish from Saint Mary's College and a master's degree in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University.
I am a science nerd (!) and I have always loved school. My hope is that I can bring my love of various STEM fields and share them with my students.

How did you get started teaching?
I chose to pursue teaching because I was someone who was bullied in school and found that sometimes teachers were my only companions through the process. I loved school and I loved learning, but I sometimes didn't love the social side of things. The teachers who took the time to share their love of learning with me helped me find my own passions.
What types of students have you worked with?
1. Grades 6-12 and college-level students
2. Students holding IEP, 504s, and individualized education plans
3. Neurotypical students
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who is in love with the material and wants to share their love of the subject with you. If a teacher doesn't make you excited to learn, they aren't doing enough!
