About

Hello! I am an Actor/Director/Singer from CA currently living and working in Chicago, Il. I have a background teaching high school theatre and film, and a degree from the University of California, Irvine in Drama, and trained at the Pacific Coast Performing Arts Conservatory (PCPA). I have been serving as an acting coach to students for years, often in preparation for college or conservatory auditions, as well as for auditions for theatre companies and shows. I would be happy to set up online coachings and help actors feel prepared and excited for their upcoming auditions! I can help train you how to audition in person, as well as self tape, and offer some books that are relevant and helpful to today's market, as well as aide in selecting audition material.

Please feel free to ask any questions, and if you need financial assistance, please make an offer, and if I can make it work, I most likely will; I love to work with people who are excited to be working in this field, that's the most important thing to me!

Frequently asked questions

B.A. in Drama from UC Irvine; Certificate from PCPA's Acting Conservatory

If you are a one time student, my one time coaching rate is $30/hour. If you are a weekly/returning student, my rate is $25/hr for an acting coaching session, or $20/hr for a session intended to be utilized only searching for audition material, or on the process of preparation (i.e. helping teach a repeatable process to prepare your script, analyze it, dig deeper, and be prepared for rehearsal). This is established before the session begins. I can use half sessions as requested, depending.

Acting Coaching can be; Monologues, Character Development for a show, Musical Theatre acting coaching, Scene Study Prep; I also have extensive training in creating a process for yourself to prepare for rehearsal, before your first day in rehearsal, and script analysis, so you feel ready and excited to be there!

I have been acting for as long as I can remember, and began directing after high school- I started teaching after college, and began to find more joy in working one on one coaching students than in a structured high school environment, so I left teaching full time, went back to get more training with the incredible PCPA acting program, and continued to take on students who were excited and maybe not sure where to start, or knew what they wanted help with and I could help take them to the next step. I finished the acting program, moved to Chicago and was immediately cast in two productions, and have been teaching and acting since!

Choose someone you're comfortable with. If you're not comfortable asking questions or being vulnerable, or if you're afraid of looking stupid or sounding dumb- you won't be able to get to the places you need to be in acting. It's important to have a teacher who challenges you- you don't want someone who will just pep you up and not give you good feedback or critiques. But you don't want to feel intimidated- it's an important balance of cheerleader and pusher that you need in an acting coach. Most importantly- someone you trust!
