My name is Sally Tyrell, and I am currently a graduate student studying environmental science. I am certified to teach Elementary Education and Middle Level English, Social Studies, and Science. Over the course of the past 3 years, I have taught 7th and 8th grade in the Chicago suburbs. I also have experiences working with 2nd, 4th, and 6th grade students. These experiences include teaching full sized classes as well as working in small groups or individually with students as necessary.
I have a positive personality and a love for learning! My goal as an educator is to foster a safe and meaningful learning community and encourage students to have a growth mindset. Every student learns differently, so I love to help them learn the way that suits them best.
