About

By day I am an electrical design engineer, by night (and mostly on weekends) I have been a freelance tutor on and off for a couple of years. Hailing from Northern Illinois University, I studied electrical engineering with an emphasis in biomedical engineering. I was part of the winning senior design team in the electrical department for the Spring 2017 graduating class, that project was the design, construction, and validation of a 3D printed electromyography controlled prosthetic hand. I enjoy teaching and discussing topics in mathematics, up to and including certain topics in complex analysis. Other topics I am comfortable with, aside from most topics in electrical engineering curriculum's, are C/C++, C programming for embedded systems, Python as it applies to data science topics, biology, anatomy & physiology, and physics (up to a first course in quantum and waves). During my graduate studies in engineering, I was a teaching assistant to a variety of professors. I found that teaching was one of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences. This is what has led to me continuing to pursue opportunities centered around teaching. I am thorough in my explanations, administer challenging questions when they will elucidate a constructive experience for students, and approach complex topics with a strong consideration for the experience and understanding of my students. I look forward to discussing your course with you.
