Jessica was always ready to help me with my math questions for algebra and geometry! I even got tutoring from her for English grammar as well.

My child was able to learn how to speak Spanish beyond simple hellos and introductions thanks to her interactive lessons. From flashcards to mock conversations, she has been super helpful getting a child a head start into learning a language.

Jessica has been a huge lifesaver for me in English. I struggled a lot with creating a thesis and outline for my paper and so getting help from her was one of the best things I did. Her help will be remembered for the rest of my life in all of my English classes.

    Frequently asked questions

I first start with an initial skills test/discussion in order to assess the student's range of their strengths and weaknesses in the particular subject. Afterwards, depending on these ranges, the subjects covered will be specifically targeted to best help the student progress his/her profiency in the subject. Periodically, these tests/discussions will be used in order to assess growth.

I was an educational instructor for a professional tutoring and education facility beginning June 2020. I have volunteered for various tutoring programs in the past and was a part of the executive board overseeing the entire tutoring services provided by my school.

I first started to volunteer to tutor for a variety of different programs. From my high school's tutoring program, all the way to local tutoring communities created because of the pandemic, I have been active in helping others learn consistently. At the start of the pandemic, I took my passion of helping other students a step further by applying to Mathnasium, where I was immediately trained and hired.

I have worked with young children (kindergarten) all the way to college students. On most occasions, I work with students in middle school / high school to college.
Recently, I had the privilege to fully see the extent my tutoring has helped one of my students in her academics. I was able to witness how her goals of getting all 'A's that year in high school truly come true, even in math which was her weakest subject! We had worked together all year for these results and so it was an event truly worth celebrating together!
To any student, I truly encourage you to find a tutor that can not only teach the concepts you want to develop and strengthen, but one that can also serve as an encouraging mentor in your academic endeavors.
Students should take time to consider their style of learning. Every student learns differently, and so knowing this and communicating it with the teacher can increase the effectiveness of the lesson!
