Hola! I have been teaching Spanish since 2015 in Idaho and Southern California. I have worked as an interpreter for the Red Cross in Mexico, Colombia and Costa Rica. I also work as a medical interpreter here in Meridian, Idaho for St. Lukes when I am not teaching for Boise State or Owyhee High. I enjoy working with students and helping them master a language that has changed my life!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually get to know the student first and find out about their background in Spanish... How many years they have taken, why they have taken it, and what their struggle points are within Spanish, as well as their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have two Masters degrees, a Spanish teaching credential in CA and ID. I have taught High School and College Spanish since 2015 and am a certified Medical interpreter
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, my lessons are $40/hr. and $35 if it is from a referral (student who referrer and referee receive discount)
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I was studying abroad in the Dominican Republic and saw the need for good teachers to help encourage and direct children, adolescents and young adults.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all backgrounds, levels, and ages.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was fond of la Navidad and spending it with my family. Very grateful for them!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would encourage them to find someone they can relate too and are comfortable talking too!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should focus on what their goals are, and what are the obstacles keeping them from reaching those goals.
