I absolutely adore working with young students! They are so enthusiastic about learning and the world around them. I am very passionate about what I do and am constantly working towards bettering my practice. As an educator, I believe in individualized learning based not only on the student's academic abilities but their interests, as well.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by having the student complete an interest indicator. This helps me to build a foundational knowledge on the students interests/learning styles. I then complete a handful of assessments to determine where the student is academically and what prior knowledge they hold (math knowledge, reading level). Once I have this information, I am able to create individual lessons that best fit the student's needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed elementary teacher with endorsements in both reading and English Language Arts. I am hired as a substitute for three school districts and am currently teaching 4th grade.
