Biochemistry Nerd
About
Hello fellow hard-working student,
This is Fue, your biochem enthusiast (nerd). For those who are taking biochemistry and on the edge of getting that A or B, I provide tailored, private tutoring to help you bump up your grade. I am currently a medical school student at Des Moines University – College of Medicine. I have previously TA’d for biochemistry as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at California Northstate University – College of Health Sciences. As a GTA, I created biochemistry questions for exams. This means I know a plethora of biochemistry questions and the correct way to think about them. I have also recently taken the MCAT and can provide insight into how the concepts learned from the course presents itself on standardized tests.

Why work with me? I can help you be one of the top students in your class.
I have a great story for you. My older sister had been out of school for 4 years and had never taken biochemistry. She decided to take biochemistry in our post-baccalaureate program and had me tutor her. Not even knowing what an amino acid was at the start, she finished that class with a well-deserved “A”, in a biochemistry class that I thought was one of the hardest I’ve seen.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Biochemistry can be very difficult to understand the fundamental parts of the puzzle. Having a strong foundation can help you excel in the course, but this can also carry onto your performance on the MCAT. A well-trained tutor can help you build that foundation.
