About

Hello! My name is Logan Kempf and I am a student here to help other students. I have always been linguistically talented, and thought I could perhaps help others achieve their goals in English language. In my lifetime, I have helped neighbors and peers with everything from learning how to spell, to editing college and scholarship applications. My passion has, and will always be, to help others. Throughout my schooling, I have received straight A's or honors with my English courses. I would love to help your students perfect their grammar, get the grades they want, and score highly on their AP tests!

I enjoy so much about how I can help others. I am very compassionate and patient. Being able to help others succeed and make them happy is how I find joy in life.

Frequently asked questions

When working with new students, I have a system. I first start out by assessing their needs based on grade level and if in high school, preparation for their respective AP test. From there, K-5 I use fun games in order to help learn spelling, reading, writing, and grammar. For 6-12, I use workbooks, worksheets, prior AP test questions, and sample essays. This process helps pinpoint and perfect the skills any student needs to succeed in their respective English course!

When it comes to education and training, I am still a student. This makes me the perfect candidate to help your student succeed. I know how advanced English classes and AP tests operate in the now. I also have knowledge through helping my neighbors who range from preschool to fifth grade learn everything from reading and writing all the way up to perfecting their grammar skills to be used in essays or on tests.

For K-8 I typically charge per session once I get to know the student and the content that needs covered. I base my pricing off of how much research and preparation I need to do. For 9-12 if it is by session, I do the same, however if it's on an assignment need basis or AP study basis I charge differently.

I started tutoring my neighbors over the summer, and helping my peers and teachers with revising essays and in class help with other students.

I have worked with children from preschool- seniors in high school.

A recent event that I am fond of is having family zoom calls to wish my family members a happy birthday during quarantine!

I would tell them to be picky. You have th choose somebody that you click with or relate to, otherwise the content you learn will go in one ear and out the other.

You should ask a few things. First, what is their teaching style? Second, when in a stressful situation with a student, how do they respond? Lastly, and most importantly, what is their favorite flavor of ice cream?
