Tutor Me Education November 2022 - Current
Working with specific students’ grades K-4 through 12th assigned by the company that contracts with individual school districts to help them achieve, my job requires listening to them, keeping them motivated, and helping them to complete assigned assignments and activities, quizzes, and tests. In addition, I create engaging lessons and interactive zoom meetings to meet a broad range of student abilities and needs. Communication with parents and guardians is a critical part of this job, supplying detailed reports to improve student progress, assessing students informally to check their understanding, and devising steps for further development. Also, being a mentor, especially to high school students, is critically important, keeping them motivated and excited about completing their assignments and receiving passing scores. As a result, my students have shared with me already that "they feel more confident, less stressed and are happy" to meet the requirements necessary to give their grade levels.
Adapting lesson plans to meet individual students' learning styles and requirements, including those with special educational needs, and implementing a range of teaching strategies to support students with English as a second language is a critical part of this job. Therefore, having the skills below is necessary for this job.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Experience planning, coordinating, and easing physical meetings and remote video conferences.
• Extremely organized and attentive to detail.
• Comfortable performing a variety of roles, including organizational point of contact.
• Warm and patient teaching style
• Strong organizational skills
• Creative approach to curriculum design
• Knowledge of special education needs teaching strategies.
• Clear communicator
• Encouraging and supportive colleague mentorship
• Advanced technological instructional methods

Owner/Administrator/Head Event Planner
Lighthouse Historical Venue - Rincon, GA 2018 to January 2020
The owner of a successful "Event Venue and Planning/Management Company" proudly took on the challenge of planning and executing events within a broad spectrum of categories. As the owner, it was imperative that I always ensured, helped achieve, and produced events from conception through to completion. I have supplied outstanding customer service within Effingham County, GA, and surrounding areas and organized memorable events. Each event had to meet specific criteria, set standards for all clients and other business owners, and take simple concepts and ideas and turn them into dreams. As the owner, hiring employees who could develop, conceptualize, and visualize the overall aims I requested and needed across the board was crucial. The ability to coordinate and deliver quality events, effective communication and collaboration between clients and vendors (initially contracted and in place from the beginning) were top priorities when hiring.
QuickBooks categorization, invoice, collect payments, input credit card payments, and complete weekly payroll. Event planning, design, and production: Managing all project details in a spreadsheet format, charts, and a picture format for clients to view on Google drive from all over the country on Google drive. Continuous communication with clients to find their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction was a top priority. A daily aim was to conduct market research, gather information, and negotiate contracts before closing any deal. Developing and implementing a unique website, continually updating, improving, expanding, and keeping up with current trends daily, were essential. Proposing ideas to improve provided services and event quality within the community and staying involved with the local Chamber of Commerce and Effingham Women in Business were important. Organized renting and securing facilities on and off-site, made reservations, managed event details from choice and style of decor, catering, entertainment, photographers, videographers, musicians, D.J.s, transportation, location options, invitations, and all correspondence for guests, reservations if needed. Ensuring that all equipment was out, the event was typed and placed in an organized, neat, crisp folder or binder with necessary contracts, tabs, promotional material, vendors, local places to visit, events in the area, and other vital information. I continuously ensured that insurance, licenses, legal documents, health, and safety obligations were still up to date and followed the laws. Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities.
Proactively imperative, as the owner, I took care of all arising issues and would troubleshoot any emerging problems before all events and always on the day(s) of/during the event. Having my staff conduct multiple pre-and post-event evaluations and compile reports on all outcomes was crucial. These evaluations always prove vitally important in any business or organization. Research markets find event opportunities and generate interest.
Proven experience as an events planner or organizer and an impressive portfolio of previously managed events (weddings, meetings, parties, corporate events). Excellent time management and communication skills
Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships and manage multiple projects independently.
Teacher & Long-term Sub Teacher
Williamsburg James City County Public Schools from 2012 to 2018
I taught in classrooms with up to thirty-five students while adhering to public school and private curriculum guidelines resulting from my instruction and supplementary tutoring accomplishments. Students did well on tests taken, and their study skills and knowledge of each subject were remarkable. I supported this high academic achievement standard I was privileged to teach across the continental U.S. However, my impact as a teacher extends beyond scores to focus on each student. It gives me intense pleasure to encourage students who do not know the material to schedule a tutoring session. In addition, I have held supplementary tutoring sessions with struggling and special needs students. Finally, I find it essential to regularly integrate new classroom technologies into a lesson to excite my students, challenge them and motivate them to learn more, dig deeper, and study harder. Given my years of experience and passion for teaching, I am confident that I would positively change professional teaching and tutoring in any subject needed. My job teaching has always required me to input all grades into a centralized computer program and print reports each semester. Education, in general, has challenged me to create, implement and execute all lesson plans in keeping with the required state guidelines. Data entry tables and excel spreadsheets tallied all grades and scores input into the computer. Yet, it required me to ensure correct data (scores) for each student on each assignment for the final scoring process.

Teacher K4 / K5
Weekday Ministries Preschool /Kindergarten 1991-1994
Teaching in a preschool environment is like no other. One minute I was teaching the ABCs, and the next tying shoelaces. In another minute, my class would be exploring ways to use basic math and counting skills, and the next, I, the teacher, would be calming a tantrum. I loved every minute as a preschool teacher, especially decorating and getting my classroom ready as a learning environment where the youngest learners become acquainted for the first time with academics, proper social behavior, and group learning. My job as a preschool teacher has always been encouraging, filled with creativity, fostering academic growth, and nurturing tiny learners. It is a rewarding and fulfilling profession reserved for those who love children and the learning process, have equal parts enthusiasm and patience, and feel right at home with paint on their fingers and a storybook in their hands.
