Portia

Hello! My name is Portia! I was a substitute teacher for grades kindergarten to 8th for 3 years. I worked with children from multiple backgrounds, including children with IEPs. I have a bachelors in health science and I'm currently an echo sonography student, so I have extensive knowledge on science. Working with me will be fun and I will provide a safe and comfortable environment for my students. I remember being a student who struggled with certain concepts and test taking anxiety. I was able to find ways to combat those issues. Now, I want to be that person I wish I had growing up. I will cater to your needs and be sure to make sure all my students understand their material!
