About
I am passionate about the success of the student in front of me and helping them thrive in where I can assist them. I have more experience with middle and high school aged students.
I love teaching, and creating curriculum for my classroom. I teach a variety of classes under the theatre/english umbrella, so I love the classes I do teach.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know the students, the short and long term goals of what they need and then discuss the areas of weakness and strength. We will make goals for each tutoring session that work toward the larger goal that the student has. The goal is to leave tutoring better than before you arrived.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Reinhardt University and a Master’s Degree in Human Services Counseling: Adolescent Development. I have experience directing, musical directing and developing well-rounded actors with a lot of skills needed to thrive as an actor such as improv, script analysis, technical theatre skills, etc. I have taught classes such as chorus, drama, film studies, speech, theatre production, public speaking, debate and some other classes that fall under the drama umbrella. I have a Georgia Teaching license in music education and 6-12 english. I am currently in my 9th year teaching. Gaining this degree helped me to understand the mind of my students, what they can handle, family dynamics and how I can help my students thrive in classroom and life.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $50 for hourly lessons and I accept venmo, cash or check.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching private music lessons for a small company right out of college and taught four years in public school before I made the move to teach in private school, where I currently still teach at.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages. Students as young as six years old to adult age students. But the majority of my experience is with middle and high school age students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My graduation at Liberty with my Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher that has your best interest at heart. Finding the root of a reason for why you're struggling with something, can also help you move on from it in the future.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Have goals in mind and communicate that to the teacher. It helps you to feel more successful and focused. Be honest with where and why you struggle, as there is no judgement. The teacher genuinely wants to help you succeed.
