I have a Masters of Library and Information Science and experience as a Reference and Instructional Librarian. I have researched virtual learning techniques and have presented such findings at multiple conferences. Additionally, I have worked as a Reading Tutor and in a Preschool setting for 4 and 5 year old children specifically working on reading and comprehension skills.
I absolutely love when a student starts to read and understand what they are reading. I firmly believe that reading opens doors to anything and everything!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process of working with a new student is to discuss expectations with their parent or guardian or with the student. Additionally, we would dicuss previous education and/or tutoring, and concerns or areas that they feel need improvement. After having this knowlege we would do a basic assessment.
