Hi there! I’ve been a teacher for the last eight years. I’ve worked in all subject areas with all grade levels but specialize in language arts, history, and ESL. I’ve taught in the United States and abroad. My teaching style is fun and upbeat. I try to find out what students are interested in a gauge how they learn best and create lessons from there. I keep a log to send parents of everything covered in the lessons and make sure to communicate with them frequently to see what they are expecting from their child’s tutoring experience as well.

Writing is not very difficult. Writing WELL, however, can be challenging. But it's certainly not impossible. The biggest problem that students face today is that they're all taught to write the same way, when each person writes very different from one another. Students are essentially told to remove their personality from their essays or term papers; I vehemently disagree with that choice. My approach to teaching how to write well is centered around getting to know your student and their personality. Some things click easier than others.
