At Words with Ruth you will learn to express yourself in Spanish with the right words at the right time. Whether you've decided to finally travel to South America, just want to communicate with new people, or simply need to pass Spanish class, I will teach you to speak, read, and write with proper grammar and accent in a most patient manner. You will learn in your preferred learning style at a steady pace with lessons as simple or intense as you wish.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to learn the student's Spanish language goals and what their preferred learning style (visual, auditory, etc.) is and create a lesson plan that works around any required timeframe.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am largely self taught having spent several years in a Spanish immersion setting with native speakers from various countries.
How did you get started teaching?
I'm naturally inclined toward teaching and once I became fluent in Spanish, at a time when the Spanish-speaking population was really beginning to boom where I was then living, I began reaching out to others with a similar passion and curiosity for cross-culture experiences.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with adults and young people of varying ages looking to explore the Spanish language and culture.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently helped someone to appreciate the value of learning to get the sense of expressions versus mere translation of words.
