About
I am not looking to help you pass. I am looking to make sure you learn. Memorizing information is never enough in education to simply forget the information. My tutoring will help you see the bigger picture and to connect the dots to understand the whole concept.
I enjoy helping people. I have a diverse background in several subjects and I love helping people reach that ah ha moment to have a better understanding of the material we are reviewing.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know the student and we will first determine the root of what the disconnect between them and the material is at that moment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained in the corporate evironment for several years.
I have consistently tutored my peers in science and math courses throughout my educational journey.
I tutored AP students during my time in my first undergraduate program.
I have taken 6 different AP classes, the SAT, ACT, and TEAS exams. I understand how to out think the exam and to provide skilled instrucion on how to take exams and move passed testing anxiety.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing system varies based on your situation. I am willing to negociate pricing. Since the end goal is more about making sure someone is sucessful and not really all about the money for me.
How did you get started teaching?
I just kind of fell into the tutoring scene from really high school I have been tutoring my peers and teaching my classmates how to learn versus memorizing information.
What types of students have you worked with?
Learning disabilities
ADHD Students ( Which I also have)
Students who struggle with math
The "smart students"
The slackers
The unprepared
You name the type of person I have probably worked with them
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently helped lead study groups for my Anatomy and Physiology 2 class and it led to every single peer that attended every session passing and even coming to me after letting me know that they understood the questions much better on the test because of the intensive study sessions.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who is patient, kind and not in this for the money. Learning takes on different shapes. Also, look for a tutor that is willing to give tough love on those that are not preparing for the lessons and tests as they should be.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How do I learn?
What have I tried?
Where I am I getting lost in the material?
Why am I getting lost there?
Thses questions help with a small bit of self reflection on why you need help and would help the tutor identify strategies to help you.
