About
I am a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience working with elementary and middle school students in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s in Curriculum and Instruction. Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate in education with a focus on leadership and instructional improvement. My passion for tutoring stems from the joy of helping students grow in confidence and independence as learners. I believe that every student can succeed with the right support and encouragement, and I take pride in building strong relationships that help students feel seen, heard, and capable.
My favorite subjects to tutor are math and reading because they serve as the foundation for so much of a student’s academic success. I particularly enjoy helping students break down complex math problems into manageable steps and using engaging texts to build reading comprehension skills. My teaching philosophy centers on patience, positive reinforcement, and adaptability—I meet students where they are and tailor my approach to their learning style and needs. I strive to make learning both rigorous and enjoyable, using creative strategies to keep students motivated and curious.
Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my family, exploring new places, and being outdoors. I also enjoy developing learning resources, reading about educational leadership, and finding new ways to inspire young learners.
