About

I provide customized one-on-one tutoring. I take a personal interest in my students. I am patient. I explain mathematical concepts and problems in ways that are easy for students to understand. I frequently provide easier ways of working problems that are not taught in school. When I identify a problem area for a student I provide customized study guides to help them master this area.

I love math, I love teaching, and I love working with kids and teenagers. I especially enjoy watching my students gain confidence in their ability to do well in math.

Michael is very warm and kind. I do wish he had introduced himself a bit more formally and talked to my son a bit on the first call before jumping into math. However, my son, who hates math, was over the moon when he finished the lesson. He WANTED to keep working with Michael. What more could a parent want?!?

I tell the student that "they are the boss."  My job is to answer their questions and explain things they do not understand.  Usually we work through current homework or an ACT or SAT practice manual.  We review past tests.
