I first do an assessment of my students' needs to see how best to serve them. I work with students to master the fundamental principles of mathematics which will help them to master more advanced topics. I make learning math fun by using real life examples as much as possible.
I enjoy being given the opportunity to help change someones life by helping them achieve their goals. Its that simple. I have learnt that to have lasting change we have to work to build students' confidence when teaching math and that is what i am to do in each session. I enjoy helping my students to become comfortable with mathematics.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My standard process for working with a new student starts with an assessment which takes place after having heard what the needs of the student are. Sessions are scheduled as often as the student likes and during the hours most convenient. An interactive online whiteboard is used to allow for the solution or questions and demonstration of examples while Skype is used for voice/ video communication.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been tutoring mathematics since high school and have about six years experince tutoring students in preparation for examinations and the general improvement of their grades. I graduated from university with a First Class Honours in Civil Engineering.I am a self driven female Civil Engineering working in a male doominated field. I enjoy helping students and have been doing so since my time in high school where i helped underprevileged childing in communities to prepare for tests and assisted with homework. I tutored college mathematics while studying.

My pricing starts at $30/hour. Depending on frequency and location, this price may be adjusted. More frequent sessions could see a decrease in price.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching because of my passion for helping others and i love math; so i get to help people and do what i love at the same time.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was tutoring a 7th grade student and he was really saddened as he had failed a test he thought he would have passed. During that session i was alone to change his mood and get him excited about trying again and working harder to do better on his next test. His change in attitude has allowed his grades to improve steadily.
