Candace's Tutoring Services

Hi! My name is Candace, and I am a Biology pre-med major with a minor in math at Wingate University. I currently work as a Biology 101 group tutor and will also be serving as a Math 120 peer tutor in the fall. Through tutoring, I've learned that every student has a different learning style and pace, and I enjoy finding creative ways to make concepts finally "click."

Working with me is supportive, encouraging and interactive. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence without feeling judged. I like to keep sessions positive and engaging while still making sure we stay focused and productive. Whether we're reviewing Biology concepts, solving math problems or preparing for exams, I aim to create an environment where students feel motivated and capable.

As both a student and tutor, I understand the challenges that come with balancing coursework and stress, which helps me connect with students on a personal level. My experience tutoring Biology 101 has strengthened my communication skills and taught me how to adapt lessons to meet individual needs. I'm passionate about helping students succeed and I truly believe that learning can be both effective and enjoyable!
