I am a native speaker of Russian who moved to the US in 2008. I have a masters degree in English with concentration in teaching ESL (teaching English as a second language) and a bachelors degree in German. I have taught college/university level English/ESL classes for the past ten years.

I have over 14 years of tutoring and teaching experience working with students of different ages and varying proficiency levels. I have taught English to non-native speakers in college and in various language schools.

I tailor my teaching style to students' goals and needs. Every person is different in his/her learning style or method, so I work together with each student to put together a customized syllabus with realistic and manageable goals for a set time frame. Whatever your language goals are, I will help you to achieve them. That's my goal for every student.

I like learning foreign languages, traveling and learning different cultures. My traveling experiences and chances to live in different countries helped me to embrace cultural differences as something we should celebrate and learn from. We can start doing that from simply engaging in a conversation and sharing stories.
