About
I fully understand the struggle that students face on a day to day basis. And if I can be some sort of outlet which they can use to alleviate some of the stress that they are facing, then I consider my job a success. The happiness that the students experience when they get the grade they wanted, or when they pass the last class they required for their degree makes all the time and effort worth it. It becomes less like work and more about helping the other person as a whole and getting to know them along the way!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
As a college student, I understand the struggle of having to study without any academic help from teachers at times, which is why I begin by getting to know the student as a person. I also like to tell the students about my own persoal experiences so they know the type of person they are working with. The entire tutoring experience is centered around the student, as we will only work on what they need help with, after which I will implement my own personal lesson plans for the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a youth activities coordinator at the BAPS Swaminarayan temple in Atlanta, I plan and execute weekly assemblies that teach cultural history as well as real life skills such as presenting, writing, and creative design. Due to my leadership role there, I serve as a mentor to many of the younger youths as I am older than them. This mentorship comes in many methods, one of which is tutorship.
As for English expertise, I am an avid reader as well as a published writer. I write for the Medium blog Noteworthy, which averages 30000 readers every month.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I obviously understand that different families have varying financial situations, which is why I am always open to renegotiating the price.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice to students is to find someone who has been through a similar situation that you are experiencing. Think back to high school, the best teachers are ones that you relate to the most. Ensure that your tutor is someone that you want teaching you, because in the end they will be the ones determining your future.
