Writing Tutoring And More
About
I am a junior college student passionate about helping other students gain the skills they need to excel in their academics. I can help with essay writing and editing for K-12 and college levels, psychology at the high school and college level, and math/science at the elementary level. I can tutor children with special needs as well.
I have been tutoring children ages 5-13 for 8 years in all subjects. I have the most experience with writing and have tutored fellow college students as well. My GPA is 3.87 and I spend time not in school babysitting children and volunteering with an organization for kids with special needs. I am always happy to help out when I can, especially during this stressful time. So I'd like to offer what I can to families working through this crisis and help students succeed.
I love experiencing the feeling of a new concept "clicking" for a student with them. I enjoy being able to share my academic interests with students by helping them improve in their own schooling.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first meeting involves getting to know the student and understand where they're struggling. We'll begin to build a plan for our sessions and discuss how to work on these key areas needed to succeed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have tutored kids all throughout high school and currently. We've worked on a variety of areas including math, language arts, writing, English, and science. I have also been taking Spanish classes in college and can tutor Spanish at the 101 and 102 level.
How did you get started teaching?
When I was 12, my mother taught a local weekly class for homeschoolers. I helped her in the classroom and worked with students when they were struggling. After that I began to offer to tutor kids in my neighborhood and kids I babysat.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with young children learning English as their second language, kids aged 5-13, college students in essay-writing, children with autism and/or developmental delay.
