The first step is for me to find out your objectives/goals for hiring a tutor. From there I can design and gather resources that will help you reach your goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is:
30 minute session =$20

60 minute session=$40
How did you get started teaching?
I began my teaching career in 2001 as an AmeriCorps service member who tutored elementary age children in reading and led an after-school program. From there I was an instructional assistant in the classroom for several years before becoming a lead teacher in 2010.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students with a variety of learning styles. Based on a student's needs, I can present material and information in a wide range of modalities.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you know and are able to communicate what your goals are for seeking a tutor. Be as specific as possible when speaking with your teacher about what you hope to accomplish from your tutoring sessions. Continue to communicate with your tutor on a regular basis to ensure your needs are being met.
