About
My style of tutoring is all-encompassing; I believe to perform at your best you need to consider all aspects of the study, from time management to resources, to goal setting and planning, to content learning. Of course, if you have these prior ones down; we can concentrate on just the content. Our sessions are 100% customized to each student's needs. Once we start tutoring, I provide a 7 day a week support service as well, so any questions or problems you come up against outside of our sessions, I'm here to help.
My lessons will be structured around your requirements and your level of skill. I have a vast amount of resources that I can use with you, or we can use your material to work through. If you are a university student, I have a huge range of lecture notes and tutorial materials that I have delivered in the past, and for students that are of primary and secondary level, I also specialize in creating fun and engaging lessons that use activities to help you learn! Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our sessions are 100% customized to each student's needs. Once we start tutoring, I provide a 7-day-a-week support service as well, so any questions or problems you come up against the outside of our sessions, I'm here to help.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a physician assistant and senior medical student with 4 years experience of tutoring online.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rates are flexible, depending on the financial abilities of my clients, I believe nobody should be denied an opportunity to learn because of financial challenges (been there too), but typically, my hourly rates are $30, which is inclusive of the study notes I prepare for each lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I started with answering questions on websites such as coursehero, Chegg, and studypool, then I realized I could do better and teach students how to actually answer those questions like I do. That was the beginning of my tutoring career.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with medical, nursing, and pharmacy students. Most of my students are nursing students, doing their MSN, BSN, and DNP.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I taught a student how to analyze questions and reason out critically. She ended up scoring 95%.
