About

I am a Princeton University grad with over 10 years of tutoring experience in Algebra I & II, Trigonometry, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and all subjects of the SAT and ACT tests.

I have been tutoring middle and high school math for 15 years and have worked with students of all levels of math proficiency and foundational knowledge. I scored 5's on the Calculus AB and Calculus BC AP exams, and have taken math through Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra so I can help your student prepare not only for current math classes, but also for courses to come.

My students have seen up to 12 point gains on the ACT and 250 point gains on the SAT eventually earning 33+ on the ACT and 1450+ on the SAT. They have gained acceptances to Ivy League schools, University of Chicago, St. Andrews, Emory University, Tulane University, Wake Forest College, and more!

I love watching my students develop ownership of their material. When a student finally has that "Ah-ha" moment, I can see their confidence and self-assuredness skyrocket. It is extremely rewarding to watch students become more and more indepenedent in their work.

    Frequently asked questions

Typically I start my checking in with the student about their learning style, interests, and areas for improvement. This helps me tailor my lessons to fit their needs later on.

I then work through problems with a student. I like using real-world examples and pictures to keep things interesting.

I believe it is important for students to build their confidence, so I always give students the opprotunity to answer questions unassisted. If they do need help, I guide them by asking questions, to show them what work they can do with the knowlege they know. If I discover gaps, I will teach a lesson on the subject area and work through practice problems until they fully understand the concept. From there, we will return to the original problem and ensure they can answer it.

I graduated from Princeton University, where I studied Politics. While in college, I took a significant amount of math and science courses, including Linear Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Thermodynamics and Modern Solid Mechanics.

After graduating, I began tutoring the SAT and ACT in addition to academic subjects with Academic Approach in Chicago, Elite Tutoring in Atlanta and Varsity Tutors online. I have completed multiple intensives for building strategy for standardizes tests, best practices for building students' foundational knowledge, and structure for efficient tutoring sessions.

I trained with a tutoring company in Chicago on best practices for the SAT/ACT, and have been tutoring for over 5 years.

Typically it is $75/hr for academic subjects and $150/hr for SAT/ACT prep. Special pricing is available for students booking multiple sessions a week, and I also offer group rates for groups of 2 or more students.

It is important for me to give back and serve students of all backgrounds, so I do offer sliding scale pricing for families in need. Money shouldn't get in the way of your student finding the help they need. Feel free to reach out with your budget, and we will see if we can work something out.

I first became a tutor in high school, when I was selected by the Geometry teacher to be the designate tutor on the subject. I then ran a tutoring center at while I attended Princeton University for middle and high school students needing additional support. While in school, I took a tutoring job at Harlem Village Academies in New York, and fell in love with helping students reach their academic potential.

Middle and high school students who are hard-working and driven to improve. I work with students at all levels. I've worked with high-achieving student aiming to go to ivy-leage schools, as well as stuggling students who are trying to test well enough to get into any college. It doesn't matter to me where students start, it's about their willingness to learn and grow.

I backpacked the O Loop in Patagonia, Chile and loved it! I'm an avid backpacker.

Tutoring comes in many forms. It is important for a student to find a tutor that is a good for them in terms of personality, skill set and teaching methods. Once you find the right combo, it will make your lessons more effective for your needs.
