What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Contacting parents and asking the student’s immediate academic needs. Meeting the student and doing homework, test corrections, or tutor prepped assessment work
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have accumulated over 40 credits in the field of mechanical engineering including Calc 1-3, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Engineering Materials, Physics, Chemistry, and technical and professional writing. The majority of classes had a lab that required students to track, analyze, and report data. Multiple labs and classes with heavy workload imbedded a system of organization, diligence, and urgency that has transitioned into my everyday work ethic

Usually $20/hr, $30 for two hours

in 2014 I started working with the Mathnasium and I’ve loved it ever since whether it be through volunteer, contract, or independent.

all students ranging from elementary 1st grade to college adults

I really enjoyed my New Years I just moved to Georgia
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
have your work and notes ready and organized. It’s okay to not know something, that is what the tutor is there for
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
think and consider what it is you don’t understand, and what about it confuses you.
