Louis XIV French Immersion
About
I have been studying French for 25 years in the US. I have attended Alliance Française in Atlanta and in Paris. My instruction has been quite rigorous. As an American speaker of French, I learned French as a second language which gives me a huge advantage in knowing tricks and pitfalls to the rapid and lasting ability to retain the language. Learning a French requires one to acquire a fluency in a culture and a way of thinking. I feel I have a unique gift for imparting this knowledge.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have a penchant for grammar, street French and comprehension of French "logic". I also have a great pronunciation of French. Most Americans have a lot of trouble with pronunciation. I have had great native speakers rigorously insisting on natural pronunciation. This is very difficult too find in an American speaker of French. I have had GREAT instruction with I would love to share. Without great pronunciation, one cannot be a fluent French speaker.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
25 years of rigorous experience learning French as an adult in the US. Again, I have had unbelievable instruction.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30 first hour, $15 for the next hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I wanted to share the great instruction I want able to experience.
What types of students have you worked with?
Children, adults
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am teaching my wife and it is going extremely well.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher can prononce the words/sentences perfectly. Pronunciation is everything in French. I have coached teachers of French in Georgia on pronunciation. Very important.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What would you like to achieve? How long will it take? How much homework will it take? Is there a curriculum for achieving your goals? Can you make the commitment?
