My name is Venus. I come from a very large family and have always been surrounded by a lot of kids which is where I had my first experience teaching and tutoring. I started tutoring my little brothers and cousins very young which turned into tutoring for other families. I enjoy teaching people and also learning from them! I easily get along with the people that I tutor and enjoy to plan learning activities when possible. I have experience teaching as an assistant dance teacher as well.
When it comes to tutoring, I am very flexible and can adjust to your needs. I am fluent in French, English, Swahili and Lingala. Libing overseas in my childhood. My experiences allowed me to become very open minded and understanding. In my free time I enjoy dancing, reading, drawing and traveling.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know the student to learn about their strength and weaknesses. We will tackle any area that needs improvement while still practicing the other areas to make sure that skills are not lost. I assign work to do together during the sessions as well as practice work for the student to remain active.
