What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Engage in an informal assessement to assess the students' strengths and weaknesses in order to build lessons based on the students' weaknesses. This will allow me to deliver procedures for designing effective and coherent instruction and assessment based on the appropriate learning goals and objectives.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my BA in English education from Georgia State University. I went on to earn my Master of Education in leadership and administration, my EdS in curriculum and instruction and my EdD in education curriculum and instruction from Liberty University. I have proceeded to build on my career in education as an Education Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction. I prioritizes student engagement and connection and is experienced in teaching students from K-12 to college level. I have been tutoring English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, as well as test prep, for over four years and uses a student-centered approach, teaching skills and strategies in order to prepare students for the ACT/SAT.
