Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing will depend on the level and rigor of what is being taught but in general the pricing will start anywhere from $15-20 an hour. Pricing can be set once a lesson plan is determined and discussed.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching Vietnamese when I was in high school and continued to teach peers as I grew and I just found teaching to be really fulfilling. I know what it's like to struggle as a student and understand flaws in some teaching styles and so I want to be able to help other students who may struggle with traditional teaching methods.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Come ready to put in the effort and the work - you'll only get out of it what you put in.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What areas am I weak in?
What kind of interaction do I need to stay engaged in the material or topics at hand?
