Michael Hartman
About
Hello! My name is Michael Hartman. I have a master’s degree in TESOL, a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education, and an associate degree in Sign Language Interpreting. I have experience teaching and tutoring students in subjects such as English, ESL, history, government, civics, and American culture.
Students who work with me can expect patience, clear explanations, and a calm, encouraging learning environment. I try to meet students where they are, break difficult ideas into manageable steps, and help them build confidence as well as knowledge. I especially enjoy helping students understand not only the “right answer,” but also the reasoning behind it.
I believe I would do an excellent job because I bring both formal education and real classroom experience. I have worked with students from different backgrounds and ability levels, and I understand that every learner is different. My goal is to help students improve their skills, feel respected, and leave each session more confident than when they started.
A slightly warmer, more personal version:
Hi, I’m Michael Hartman. I’m an educator with a master’s degree in TESOL, a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education, and an associate degree in Sign Language Interpreting. I’ve taught and tutored in areas such as English, ESL, history, government, civics, and American culture.
Working with me is patient, structured, and encouraging. I know that students sometimes feel nervous, confused, or behind, so I work hard to explain things clearly and step by step. I don’t just want students to memorize information—I want them to understand it and feel more confident using it.
I’ll do an excellent job because teaching is something I take seriously. I care about helping students grow, and I bring a combination of education, classroom experience, tutoring experience, and genuine patience. My goal is for each student to feel respected, supported, and capable of making real progress.
